After a varied career that included service in the Royal Navy and working in a number of high pressured environments, I decided to retrain as a Counsellor because I really wanted to help people who are feeling troubled.
I was fortunate to be able to embark on this new period in my life and I relish the opportunity to listen to all my clients, immersing myself in their lives and providing them with the space to be heard.
I can relate to many of the issues facing the people I counsel and can create a rapport with all age groups, from teenagers to the elderly with an emphasis on empathy, warmth and humour.
I’ve been awarded the Graduate Diploma in Counselling and have an unmarked enhanced criminal records bureau check.
I’m a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and I undertake monthly supervision to ensure that I work in an ethical way.
